Café Carlyle

Café Carlyle

Simply put, Café Carlyle is one of the most iconic – and chicest – performance venues in the world.  Since opening in 1955, the storied room, located in the legendary Carlyle Hotel, has provided a singularly intimate New York cabaret experience featuring musical performances by such legendary entertainers as Barbara Cook, Woody Allen, Elaine Stritch, Judy Collins and the incomparable Bobby Short, who held court from 1968 to 2005.  This New York landmark that Liz Smith calls “the favorite of New York nightspots” maintains the famous wrap around Vertès murals, features new cosmetic elements and boasts a state-of-the-art sound and lighting system.  Though the room has a new look and feel, it continues to uphold the tradition for which it is known throughout the world. Acclaimed vocalist Steve Tyrell is currently celebrating the release of his latest release "I'll Take Romance" through May 26. The John Pizzarelli Quartet (with special guest Bucky Pizzarelli) will play an exclusive two-week engagement  from May 29-June 8.
