MCC Theater

MCC Theater

Regarded as one of Off-Broadway’s most dynamic theater companies, MCC is committed to producing new works that expand the theatrical vocabulary through provocative stagings of world and New York premieres.   Founded over 25 years ago with a simple, ambitious mission - to bring new theatrical voices to theater-going audiences - MCC remains, under the leadership of Robert LuPone, Bernie Telsey, Will Cantler and Blake West, renowned for its focus on engaging New York's most prominent artists and actors, as well as an impeccable eye for emerging talent.  Additionally, MCC is dedicated to the development of playwrights and student artists as evidenced through its extensive literary and education programs.   Notable productions include the recent hits Hand to God (which received Tony and Olivier nominations for Best New Play/Comedy); Smokefall; Lost Girls; The Legend of Georgia McBride; Punk Rock; Small Engine Repair; The Village Bike; The Other Place; Really Really; The Submission; The Pride; the Tony Award-winning Frozen; the Pulitzer Prize-winning Wit; the re-imagined production of the musical Carrie; and nine plays by Playwright-in-Residence Neil LaBute, including Fat Pig and Reasons to Be Pretty.
