Rattlestick Playwrights Theater

One of New York’s most innovative and cutting-edge theater companies, Rattlestick Playwrights Theater is committed to developing and producing exciting new work from emerging playwrights. Since its formation 16 years ago, Rattlestick has produced more than forty-six world premieres and garnered numerous awards (including the 2007 Ross Wetzsteon Memorial OBIE Award). With a mission of presenting diverse and challenging plays that otherwise might not be produced, Rattlestick Playwrights Theater has become an integral part of New York’s cultural landscape. The upcoming production at Rattlestick is the world premiere of Massacre (Sing to Your Children), a new play by José Rivera. Massacre (Sing to Your Children) will begin performances on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 with the official opening night set for Thursday, April 12, 2012. Brian Mertes directs.
